A day trip to Singapore - Universal Studios Singapore, Gardens by the Bay, Orchard Road

Singapore, here I come!

Finally I'm done with my degree in MBBS and now, it's time to travel while waiting for placement in Government hospital. It will be a long wait, 6months? 8 months? or maybe more. 1month ago, I visited Korea for the second time, but this time, with my bff and new friends. It was one of the best trips I ever had! Took hundreds of pictures but I'm so lazy to edit and post them right now. =(

And few days ago, JQ and I had a day trip to Singapore. Initially we didn't plan to go on that particular day due to bad weather forecast. But we got to know that the weather was awesome from Sherminn (in Singapore) at 12pm. Though it was really late, we didn't want to miss that opportunity due to unpredictable weather in Singapore.

At about 1pm, we took Grab service to the Custom and Immigration Quarantine Complex (CIQ) in downtown Johor right near the causeway to Singapore. After passport clearance, we walked towards bus service at Woodlands Station. We took CW2 bus to Queens Street. Then we walked to the Bugis MRT station which is just about 3minutes away from the bus station and took MRT to Outram Park. From there, we transferred train to Harbourfront. Then we took cab to USS because we didn't want to wait for the bus interchange to USS. By the time we reached to USS, we had only like 2 and the half hours to walk RUN around. USS closes at 6pm, fyi.

USS was really an eye opener to me. I haven't been to other universal studios but I really enjoyed myself there! Here are some of the pictures.
JQ actually bend down on the ground to take this picture.

This castle is magnificent!
I can't help it but to do this pose after seeing someone else did somersault

I'm so tiny here. Lol...

So many good places for OOTD

Here, I attach a vlog that I made on USS =)

At 7.30pm, we rushed to the Gardens by the Bay by cab. It cost us $16 (RM50) for a 15 minute drive. OMG... No wonder people prefer taking Uber or Grab nowadays. To take MRT from Harbourfront to Bayfront, it takes about 30minutes and another 10minutes walk to reach to the Gardens. Thus, it is advisable to grab an Uber or Grab.

This is known as the Supertree Groove. It has achieved top 5 landmarks in Singapore by Tripadvisor 2016. The view was beyond words. The trees are measuring between 25 to 50m tall. These iconic tree-like vertical gardens are designed with large canopies that provide shade in the day and come alive with an exhilarating display of light and sound at night.

There's also a stroll along the OCBC Skyway, which height of 22m and 128m long, surrounded by the panoramic view of the Gardens and Marina Bay Skyline

Marina Bay sands view. This hotel is crowned as the world's largest rooftop infinity pool. It has over 60 restaurants and bars, 170 premium brand stores, museum exhibitions and theater shows.

Lastly, our last place to visit is Orchard Road! A place to shop till you drop! MRT from Marina Bay is 5 stations away from Orchard (towards Jurong East)

We were too exhausted to shop here. Thus, we just look around and went back at 10.30pm. It is important to note that the last bus from Singapore to JB is about 11.30pm. Do not miss it!

So, this summarizes my one day trip in Singapore. Be sure to start your journey as early as 8am from Johor so that you can really enjoy every single game, theater and street shows in USS. And to be on the safe side, you may download any Singapore MRT and LRT app from Android or Apple store before going to Singapore. It will be really convenient and can save a lot of time and money!
